Super Sleuth

Yesterday I received this in the mail. At first glance I thought that it was just a flyer advertising "Knitter's" magazine, but on closer inspection, I noticed that it was telling me that I only have two issues left in my subscription. The fact that I've only actually received one so far, led me to deduce that....there probably should have been a magazine attached to the flyer!

Oh, joy. My Spring issue of "Knitters" is probably sitting at the bottom of a postal worker's cart somewhere, getting ripped to shreds under a mass of paper communications.

I was glad that the flyer made it though, because without it I'd never have realised the mistake. However, my frustration is now acute. The flyer has made me very aware that I'm missing out on the luxury of perusing the featured designer's latest pieces. A quick e-mail to the subscription department has sorted out the problem. A very sweet lady replied to let me know that she will be sending me a copy directly.

Now I just have to contain my excitement for a few more days and hope that this one makes it into my mail box!

It could be that your postal carrier is at a local starbucks sipping a cup of joe, and enjoying your favorite designer's latest offerings. I hope not.

That's too funny! I'm so glad you have another issue on it's way though!

In defense of postal workers (my daughter, mother and grandmother(!) used to be one and they were good)once the cover fell off, they had no way of finding you. Magazine needs to work on where they put the address. All said, glad they're customer service is good and you're getting a new copy! Happy Reading!

Kathy I totally agree with you. I have nothing but praise for US postal workers. My Postman is fantastic - gets through whatever the weather (unlike UPS) and often delivers to my door if a package is big. I too noticed that once the flyer comes off, the magazine is not addressed. How stupid is that?! They certainly need to work out a better system.

Well and what's up with them making you feel like it's a big emergency and you have to renew when you've only gotten one copy into the subscription so far? I hate that! Before you know it, you would have 3 years paid in advance .... and then watch them go out of business like every other in print publication out there ....
